Heart-pumping Plyometrics Workout

It is widely accepted that two of the most efficient ways to burn fat and get lean are strength training and high-intensity interval training. Plyometrics, a form of strength training that requires jumping and repetition, is really a combination of the two. It increases heart rate and therefore often results in a high-intensity interval.
Plyometric training uses explosive movements to build strength and to condition the muscles and heart. The exercises are typically jumping movements—both feet need to leave the ground at the same time. During each landing the muscles get a stretch, which allows the exerciser to jump with even more power on the next one. The continual stretching and contracting of the muscles quickly whips muscles into shape.
At one time, plyometrics were primarily used by athletes to improve power for their sports, but now they are solid part of the fabric of the fitness world. Fitness professionals and enthusiasts everywhere use plyometrics as either a stand-alone workout or in parts of other workout regimens. Plyometrics boost muscle power, strength, balance and agility.

How Often Should My Clients Do Plyometrics?

Plyometrics should not be performed every day because muscles need a break from all that high impact. Similar to other types of strength training, a 48-hour rest between intense plyometric sessions is recommended. For beginning clients, help them work on building a solid foundation of fitness before adding plyometric moves to their programs.

Can I Modify With Low-impact Moves?

While it is possible to modify high-impact activities to make them low-impact, this takes away the benefits of plyometric activity. In other words, you might be doing a great exercise, but it won’t be a plyometric workout. That being said, don’t hesitate to modify your clients’ workouts—it’s better to start slowly and take more recovery time as needed.

Are Plyometrics Primarily Strength or Cardio?

Plyometrics are used primarily to build strength, but they also are a great way to introduce anaerobic interval training to your clients’ programs. Anaerobic intervals increase cardiovascular capacity and will get your clients into shape quickly.
Here is a 15-minute plyometric workout to use with your clients. Perform each exercise for 30 seconds with a 30-second rest in between. Have clients perform the series of five exercises, rest for two minutes and then repeat the series a second time. Don’t forget to have your clients cool down and stretch at the end of the workout.
Begin with one minute of light jogging and stationary squats to warm up.

BOX OR STEP JUMPS

Begin in a deep squat position with a step or sturdy platform or box in front and arms bent next to the sides of the body.
Swing the arms and jump as high as possible, landing quietly and with control in a squat position on the step. Both feet should land at the same time and weight should stay in the heels.
Jump down, landing in start position and repeat quickly. Do as many as possible for 30 seconds.
Rest for 30 seconds.

PUSH-UP JACKS

Begin in a plank position with the shoulders over the wrists, feet together, and the body in a straight line.
Lower to a push-up while jumping the feet to a wide position. Keep the abdominals tight and land with the spine straight and chest close to the floor.
Jump the feet back together while straightening the arms to push up to the starting position. Repeat as many times as possible for 30 seconds.
Rest for 30 seconds.

SPLIT JUMPS

Start in a stationary lunge position, with the right foot in front and the left foot behind resting on ball of foot. Both legs should be bent at a 90-degree angle at the bottom of the lunge.
Swing the arms and jump as high as possible, switching foot positions while in the air. When landing, the left foot will be in front. Land in a bent-knee lunge. Note: Be sure that the feet leave and land at the same time.
Repeat quickly but get a full range of motion each time. Do as many as possible in 30 seconds.
Rest for 30 seconds.

DIAMOND JACKS

Start with the legs wider than shoulder-distance apart. Turn the toes slightly out and bend the knees in a wide pliƩ position; hold the hands in front of the chest.
Using the lower-body muscles, jump up as high as possible and touch the heels together before landing in the starting starting position. Repeat quickly and perform as many as possible in 30 seconds.
Rest for 30 seconds.

CORE BODY HOPS

Begin in a plank position with the shoulders over the wrists, feet together and the body in a straight line.
From this position, bend the knees and hop both feet up to the left hand while keeping the feet together. Hop back to the starting position and repeat to the right.
Perform as many as possible in 30 seconds. Be sure to keep the core tight and don’t let the back sag.
Rest for two minutes and repeat from the entire series from the beginning.

At Home Exercises - Crossfit Workouts At Home - Pro Trainer Live

At home exercises - Crossfit Workouts At Home - Pro Trainer Live. Do you want to go to the gym? Why not try the benefits of exercising at home. Visit the site for more home work out tips.
You've probably heard the newest craze in the athletic arena, it's called Crossfit and it is tough stuff. CrossFit was founded upon the strength and conditioning programs used by many government academies such as police, military and special ops units. However crossfit is not solely entitled to those in elite fields, in fact you could do your own Crossfit workouts at home by yourself and still achieve results.
CrossFit was designed to be used by elite athletes and elderly individuals alike. The only difference is the amount of load used in the workouts and the intensity. That's all that separates you from an elite athlete. Yes you could be essentially training with the same workout used by some of the fittest people on Earth. The only thing you would adjust is the amount of load and intensity that is right for your body and experience level.
Crossfit workouts at home are a great way to lose weight, gain lean muscle and improve cardiovascular health. So what kind of movements does Crossfit entail anyway? Well, it's a combination of plyometric exercises, Olympic style lifts and non-traditional lifts with equipment like kettlebells, bags of sand, pulley systems or weighted items filled with water. Sounds like fun right? Well it is if you have the right mind set. Although it can be fun it is considered a high impact workout. On a scale of 1 to 10 Crossfit would easily get an 8 - 10 rating on the list of high impact workouts.
The benefits of CrossFit are mainly due to the high intensity of the workouts. The intensity and power exercises are effective for burning up high number of calories in short periods of time. At the same time these high impact workouts are improving your aerobic fitness and producing the anabolic hormones such as testosterone, HGH and IGF-1 that are responsible directly for muscle growth. Here is the important thing to remember: CrossFit is an excellent workout program for any exercise enthusiast, however if you are just starting out with exercising then you need to take it slow. Use reduced volumes and intensities to build up a fitness base first and progress from there. The average Crossfit workout is not a recommended for people just starting to exercise or returning to exercise after a long break.
If you are starting out with Crossfit workouts at home to get into shape here are some great exercises you can employ at your own pace. You will need a couple of light dumbbells, or pop bottles filled with water, or any object that has a weight of 3 to 10 pounds.

Singe Arm Snach: Works the butt, back, shoulders and arms.
Single Arm Snatch For Crossfit Workouts at Home
Standing with your feet wide and toes turned€out slightly, place a dumbbell on the ground between your feet. Squat down low, and pick up the dumbbell with right hand. Move back up to a straight position onto the balls of your feet. As you move upwards pull the weight close to your body and over your head reaching for the sky. Bring the weight back down and repeat. You can do 10 reps on each arm and 3 - 6 sets of each.

Bear Crawl or Knee Tucks: Works the entire body.
Running Knee Tucks
This is one of the best Crossfit workouts you can do at home. Here you get down on all fours in a higher than normal push up position. From there you either do 30 reps or 30 seconds worth of knee tucks. Pretend you are racing an opponent and you need to move as fast as you can to beat your opponent. Drive one knee up to your chest and the other leg drives back to the ground. Doing 3 - 6 sets of these will work your entire body and leave you breathless.
Dumbell Swings: Works the butt, back, shoulders and arms.
These are perhaps the most fun and dynamic of the exercises. Simply stand with your feet wide and toes pointed out slightly. Hold onto your weight of choice starting with the weight on the ground between your legs. Move the weight dynamically from the ground all the way over your head reaching for the sky. Repeat 10 - 20 times maintaining a good rhythm and fluid movement. Do 3 - 6 sets of each.

The Sumo High Pull: Works the butt, back, shoulders and biceps.
Sumo High Pulls
Like doing cleans, stand with your feet wide, hold on to your dumbbells, either one in each hand or use a bar with light weights on it. Squat and lower the weights between your legs. Go back up to a standing position pulling the weights up to your shoulders focusing on keeping your elbows high. Repeat 10 - 15 times performing 3 - 6 sets.

Box Jump: Works the lower body.
Box Jumping for Crossfit Workouts at Home
Find a step or a box that is at least 8 inches off the ground. Simply jump off the box backwards to the ground. Focus on reacting quickly when your feet hit the ground to jump off again and land on the box. These are extremely high impact and should only be done if you are already in decent shape. Start with 3 sets of 6 - 10 reps and simply increase the number of sets up to a maximum of 6 as you progress.
Doing Crossfit workouts at home are a great way to get into shape at your own pace. Utilize some or all of the above exercises at your own pace and start the journey on getting the body you want on demand. For more information on at home workouts with a personal trainer online contact us.

Women Workouts at Home for Faster Fat Loss and Body Sculpting Results

It is entirely possible for women to workout at home and get amazing results in minimal time. Be prepared because the next statement may shock you: you do not need any equipment, gadgets, miracle pills or powders, or anything but your body weight to get fast fat loss and body sculpting results.
To transform your body in minimal time, you don't need any equipment that is advertised on TV - this goes for every ab machine ever created, as well as gadgets that promise to "tone your buns".
At home workouts women should do for faster fat loss results revolve around big, compound body weight exercises that use a lot of muscle at one time. You will not only burn a ton of calories while performing these exercises, but you will also burn fat and calories for up to 36 hours after the workout is finished.
That is why these exercises are so effective - long, slow cardio could never give you the great results these body weight workouts can.
Here is a brief list of some of the most effective body weight exercises for burning fat and sculpting lean, sexy muscle:

Legs and Lower Body
-Squats (sumo, close stance, Siff, hindu, etc)
-Lunges (lateral, walking, reverse, cross-over, etc)
-Jump squats/lunges
-Bulgarian split squats
-One leg Romanian deadlifts
-Box jumps
-Step ups
-One leg squats

Chest, Shoulders and Triceps
-Push ups (close grip, walking, hindu, staggered, spiderman,
grasshopper, etc)
-Dips
-Handstand push ups (intermediate variations)
-Wheelbarrow walks

Back and Biceps
-Inverted rows (one arm, palms up, neutral, etc)
-Chin ups/assisted chin ups
-Bear crawls

Ab/Core Exercises
-Inch worms
-Reverse crunches
-Planks (side, three point, etc)
-Mountain climbers

Total Body/Miscellaneous Exercises
-Burpees (advanced)
-Squat thrusts
-Bear crawls
-Crab walks
-Sprints
Those exercises will give you more fat loss and body toning results than any machine or piece of cardio equipment ever could!

Along with using the best body weight exercises, women should also perform circuits. To perform a circuit you will simply perform a set of each exercise before repeating the first exercise again. This is a great way to spend less time working out and getting more results, and why I use circuits exclusively with all my clients who workout at home.
Using those two important tips (using the best body weight exercises and performing circuits), here is a great sample workout:
Note: an exercise from each category listed above will be included in the workout

Women Workout at Home
-Crossover lunges x 12 each leg
-Grasshopper push-ups x 12
-Inverted row x 12
-Inch worm x 6
-Burpees x 12
Perform each exercise back-to-back. The best way to perform this workout is to set a timer for 15-30 minutes and complete as many circuits as possible in that period of time.
The next time you repeat that workout, complete more circuits in the same amount of time and/or increase the number of repetitions performed for each exercise.

How to Get Lean Muscle

how to get lean muscleThere are many ways to build lean muscle that will make you look toned and athletic. The key is to keep up with whichever method fits you best. Fitness is not something that happens in x-amount of days. Instead, fitness is a lifestyle that is lived through diet, exercise, mindfulness and activity.
“I’m too busy” is a common excuse when it comes to fitness. Investing an hour a day to fitness three to six times a week will give you more physical and mental health benefits than you can imagine. If you really break it down, what’s four hours a week to spend on exercise? When you look at devoting just four hours a week to exercise, it really doesn’t seem that intimidating.
For those with busy lives who don’t know where to start with their fitness, we offer a course that is specifically for those on the go. Not only does it help you to get fit with exercise, but it offers healthy diet options so you can start working toward that lean muscle.

Running

One of the best exercises for building lean muscle is running, and it’s one of the most affordable. All you need is proper shoes and clothing and you’re good to go. While it may not be the easiest at first, as long as you keep pushing and aiming for goals, running will become easy, rewarding and fun. And the more you keep with it, the more you will see your body change. That’s because running burns more calories than most types of cardio. If you have a gym membership, skip the bike, eliptical or stairstepper and hit the treadmill for 30 minutes. On average, you burn 100 calories per mile, which makes tracking calories easy. Running is an aerobic exercise, which is an exercise that burns fat, a key component in getting that lean muscle you want.

Diet

Diet is just as important as exercise when it comes to losing fat and gaining muscle. Lean protein is the key to building lean muscle. Switch your diet from carb-heavy to lean-protein heavy and you will start seeing the changes in your body that you are aiming for. That’s not to say take carbohydrates out of your diet altogether, as they are important for energy. It is protein that helps rebuild muscle, so if it’s muscle that you’re looking to build, there should be more servings of protein in your diet than carbohydrates. A popular diet that many athletes and fitness enthusiasts use to look their best is the paleo diet. The diet (based on that of the Paleolithic humans) focuses on eating fish, grass-fed meats, eggs, vegetables, fruit, fungi, roots and nuts. With this course, you will learn more about the diet, as well as how it will help you get rid of fat and gain muscle.

Weight Training

Many people think that weight training is an exercise that will make them bulk up. That is actually not true. You will not bulk up unless you add supplements and extra calories in the form of protein in your diet. As long as you keep with your balanced diet, you will see lean muscle start to emerge. Strength training actually makes your body work harder to maintain muscle over fat. This, in turn, helps to boost metabolism and burn more fat and calories throughout the day. As we age, we lose lean muscle and need to replace the muscle loss or else it will turn to fat. Weightlifting is a great way to replace the muscle loss and prevent fat. With this course, you will learn the importance of strength training, as well as the tools to gain muscle and lose fat.

Yoga

Until you try yoga, you have no idea what an entire-body experience it really is. Yoga helps bring all your work — whether it’s running, biking, weightlifting, swimming — together. There are many health benefits you get from practicing yoga on a regular basis. Yoga is not only good for your body, but it reduces stress and depression, as well as helps you to sleep better. When it comes to body benefits, practicing yoga will strengthen muscles to help aches and pains, tone your body to get that lean muscle you’re looking for, improve flexibility, increase endurance (which will help with your cardio exercises), help your posture and more. A good yoga session leaves you feeling relaxed and replenished. If you’re interested in beginning yoga, don’t be intimidated. Yoga is a practice where nobody is perfect. You can always set goals for yourself and get better with your practice. This course we offer is yoga for everyone, which introduces yoga to beginners. In it, you learn sitting, standing and lying practices, as well as the importance of meditation. If you’ve got the hang of yoga and want to dive into the practice further, we also offer this course, which has more than 30 hours of techniques.

 Putting It All In Practice

Once you start a routine of diverse exercises and healthy eating, you will start seeing changes in your body over time. Losing fat and building lean muscle is not something that happens immediately, so we recommend keeping a journal of your progress and taking a photo of yourself at the beginning of each month to see how far you’ve come. It’s important to remember that in order to keep your lean muscle you’ve worked hard for, you need to create a healthy and positive lifestyle for yourself. It takes effort, but once you start seeing the changes in your body and in your mental health, you’ll want to keep going forward. The confidence that you get from maintaining a healthy and fit lifestyle is something that is worth all that hard work.

Weight Training for Beginners: Lifting Basics

weight training for beginnersWeightlifting is not just for body-builders…regular people can also benefit from these muscle training exercises.  By adjusting the weight, repetition and techniques, weightlifting can be scaled to an appropriate level to suit anyone’s exercise goals.  Including the proper use of weight training in your exercise regime provides unparalleled ability to increase strength and target particular muscle groups, but it is important to know what you’re doing because it is also an easy way to injure yourself.
Excessive weight, poor technique, and inadequate warm-up are all serious risks, and far from improving fitness, they can contribute to the kinds of chronic injuries that prevent people from exercising at all.  But this is no reason not to take advantage of weightlifting, with a few basic guidelines and the appropriate equipment you can safely enjoy the benefits of lifting weights.

First things first, how does weight training fit into your life?  While belonging to a gym offers the most equipment options and resources, not having access to a gym membership does not mean that you can’t lift weights.  It is easy to find inexpensive used dumbbells on Craigslist, and there are a lot of exercises you can perform with just a set of dumbbells.  Even if you can’t get your hands on any equipment there are still plenty of exercise for home that take advantage of weight training principles.  If you are new to weightlifting and muscle training, it might be useful to have a trainer plan out a routine that meets your needs and helps you become familiar with the exercises involved.  Most gyms offer both classes and personal trainers to help you get going and stay motivated, but there are also exercise classes online and on DVDs.  All it takes is a bit of research to find the plan that fits your needs and experience. Whether you are working out at home or hitting the gym, you are going to use the same set of muscles, and the importance of the warm up cannot be overstated.
The keys to a good pre-workout are getting warm, and stretching out.  Aerobic exercises that get the blood pumping are the first step.  With increased blood flow your muscles perform better, recover faster and are less likely to be injured.  Along with aerobic exercises you should do some light pre-workout stretching to increase your range of motion and lengthen the muscle fibers so they are less likely to tear while lifting.  Dynamic stretching is preferable, that is stretches that involve movement, as opposed to static stretches where you hold a position.  Focus you stretching on the areas that are most likely to be injured, such as your rotator cuff, shoulder and back muscles, neck, and knees.  Warming up for ten to twenty minutes is perfect, with most of the time spent on aerobic work.

Once you are all warmed up and ready to lift there are a few considerations that will maximize your benefits and decrease your risk of injury.  Check them out:
  1. Start off with light weights.  No, even lighter.  Especially if you are just getting into lifting, it is important not to push yourself at first.  Pick a weight that allows you to do more than 10 repetitions, without too much strain or fatigue.  Even most serious weight lifters often begin their routine with a set of low weight reps and then progress to heavier weights in later sets.  Better to wish you’d lifted more than wish you’d lifted less.
  2. Concentrate on performing each exercise with correct technique.  This is important both for maximizing the benefit to the muscle you are working out and minimizing the risk of injury.  Avoid swinging weights around while using them.  You want to maintain good posture, take a firm stance and lift with only the essential muscles- don’t compensate with other muscles.  Be careful with shoulder and knee exercises.  If you are holding a weight at arm’s length don’t lift it above your shoulder, and if you are performing weighted squats don’t bend lower than where your thigh is parallel to the ground.
  3. Go for high reps, full range, and multiple sets.  It is most beneficial for strengthening muscles to perform exercises that engage them at every point along the range of motion.  Additionally there is more benefit in gradually fatiguing your muscle, by performing three sets of fifteen repetitions for each exercise, for example, than in trying to lift as much as you can all at once.
  4. Go slowly.  Take time between exercises to keep stretch and staying warm.  Your muscles will improve the most if you give them a chance to recover after each exercise and then do another set.  Also it is important to lift in a slow and controlled motion.  Jerking the weights around is a good way to injure yourself, but lifting them slowly will make every exercise more challenging.
  5. Stay hydrated so you can keep sweating but bring a towel to wipe down equipment.  Water is essential to muscle recovery and it is important to stay hydrated during and after working out, but it is also important not to drip sweat all over the place, especially if you are in a gym sharing equipment with everyone else.
  6. Be sure to cool down properly.  After lifting it is a good idea to get a bit more cardio work in and do some more stretching, making sure that as your muscles cool they are not contracting and cramping.  Find some time to get in a few more quick stretching or yoga sessions in the hours following your workout to keep loose.
As you become familiar with weight training and want to get even more out of your exercises, look into improving your diet, creating a schedule that includes sufficient rest and recovery periods between workouts, and if you are training for something specific, do some research or seek advice on how to tailor your workout to your needs.

8 CrossFit Workouts for Women To Keep Fit!

CrossFit is a popular type of fitness and workout strategy that includes several types of exercises such as weight lifting, running and jogging, calisthenics, gymnastics, ball training, and others. It is distinct from other exercise routines in a way that it is performed at a very high intensity within a limited amount of time.

CrossFit workouts are generally intended to improve and develop strength and conditioning. It is an ideal routine for women since it allows the enhancement of a wide variety of physical skills such as endurance, stamina, speed, balance, strength, and flexibility. Since the focal point of CrossFit workouts is functional body movement, it is the perfect choice for women who are involved in physical activities and those who are always on the go.
With this strategy, you are met with everyday workout challenges that continually changes. The result would be that you're likely to reach your highest fitness level in no time. Let's have a look at eight CrossFit workouts for women to keep fit.

Combination of dead lift, squat, and push press – the initial stage of a CrossFit workout is the practicing the basics of squatting, push press, and dead lifts. A woman should be able to feel things out first before starting some heavy routines later. This can be done in a week.

Light and moderate weight for the early stages – the purpose of lifting weights is to develop strength as well as determine a good technique for the entire duration of the workouts. Remember a woman's objective in CrossFit workouts is to be fit, not hurt herself.
Now let's go down to business...

Cindy – Cindy is a routine composed of a combination of pull ups, pushups, and squats. Repeat a pattern of 10 pushups, 5 pull ups, and 15 squats in a 15-20 minute span. As one can see, everything starts with a light training and progress will be seen in no time.

Dead lift to fast run – the next ideal CrossFit for women is a pair of dead lift and running. What you need to do is perform five sets of dead lift. Each set must be with five repetitions as well. After that, you run 1.5-2.0 miles and record the duration of the entire routine.

Double under + sit-ups – double under is an exercise done with the help of a jumping rope. What you do is jump with good enough elevation to enable the rope to go and pass under your feet twice. This can be pretty tough for women but it sure does develop reflexes. Combine this exercise with sit-ups right after.

Fast run coupled with pull-ups – perform a repetitive routine of pull-ups (the maximum you can perform simultaneously) and then be able to run not more than 500 meters right after. Repeat and then determine if there is an increase or decrease in the number of pull-ups you can do right after every run.

Thrusters and pull-ups – the key in this routine is repetition. Start with similar number of thrusters and pull ups. For instance, begin with 20 and 20, and then repeat with lesser, say 15 and 15 and so on.

Burpee – Burpee is a term referring to a type of pushup that incorporates elevation or a jump. This is quite a tough routine for a woman but it can enhance endurance and the cardiovascular strength in general.
Remember that CrossFit workouts are performed in order to enhance the entirely of your body system. It is not limited to a certain area life developing large biceps or six-pack abs. This strategy is perfect for women who want to be fit and needs to be fit. And finally, they're not as tough as they seem to be.

3 Keys To Build Your Lean, Fit And Sexy Body!

In order to build your lean, fit and sexy body requires the person to come full circle with a constructive plan related to his complete lifestyle. The plan should clearly lay out which exercises would be done on which days, what kind of diet would be consumed and so on. The advantages of building muscles fast include reduction of excess fat in the body, increase in bone density over time and good sound sleep.
That's means, to build your lean, fit and sexy body are:
• A clearly layout plan of exercise
• Rest - a good sleep
• A bodybuilding diet plan
Exercising is an integral part of any muscle growing program. You can choose your own technique and method for exercising that suits your needs. You can either go for the traditional forms of exercise or the modern forms like going to a gym. Traditional forms of exercise include brisk walk, jogging, running, cycling, yoga etc.
Irrespective of the method you select, you need to remember that you are targeting for exhaustion. Your muscle should be completely exhausted by the time you finish your exercise routine. Personally, I like to mix the traditional exercises during my exercise routine. After a short warm-up, I take a short walk for about fifteen minutes. This is to make the muscles flexible for the forthcoming stress. After a break of about couple of minutes, I run around my building park for thirty minutes. By now my muscles, start feeling stressed.
This is what you need to achieve. For the entire duration of your exercise, your muscles should feel stressed. That is why it is important to switch exercises or change routines. If you wish to run on a treadmill, you'd do better to perform in intervals. For instance, running as fast as you can for a minute and then switching to a light jog for two minutes. Repeat this for about an hour every day.
If you are doing traditional exercises, you need to ensure that you stretch your muscles as much as you can endure. You need to gradually increase your reps, which will help in building up your endurance and give your muscles a change of pace. If your target is to get a body like wrestlers, then lifting weights is recommended. You'll get the best results from your workout by training the whole body in a single workout. If you do not wish to do so, try concentrating only on the upper body in one session and the lower body in the other.
Monitoring what you eat is crucial when you are planning to build your muscle. Concentrate on complex carbohydrates and proteins such as egg whites and low fat yogurt. Try to stay away from sugary white processed foods. Instead of having bulk amount of food in one meal, try dividing your meals into small ones. At the same time, try sticking to around six small meals per day. This will ensure steady supply of energy to build muscles.
Eat whole foods most of the time. Include lots of proteins like meat, eggs, fish, milk and carbohydrates like rice, oats, pasta etc in your regular diet. Like any other diet plan, don's ignore the veggies and fruits. Have a good dietary timing as it helps greatly in anabolic metabolism. This is a big factor in building your muscle mass quickly.
It might come being a surprise to some, though the food together with the highest biological content is the humble egg! Some other food rich in biological content include raw milk, organ meats (heart, liver, kidneys and sweetbreads), steak, lamb, chicken and fish. Beans, legumes and a few other veggies also are very good types of protein, and so it's really important to include these in what you eat as well.
In summary, a good body building diet plan need to be focused on protein, fats, good carbs and also fiber. The break down should be 24% protein, 40% natural carbohydrates (no refined starches or sugars) and the balance in fats and fiber.
While focusing on the building your lean, fit and sexy body, remember to keep track of your progress. Keep a note of your weight increment and body fat percentage. These will reflect your progress and inspire you to keep improving.
